Why Moms Rock Sales

Much like Kindergarten, everything a Sales Gal needs to know, can be learned in raising a child . Motherhood refined my sales skills by teaching me:

Persistence: We give our kids a positive mindset that they can accomplish anything if they try, so why would we give up!

Creativity: Ask any mom how she was able to fit a square peg into a round hole….we find a way, especially with a little one showing us a different way to solve a problem.

Dedication: Mom's have to show up and give it 100% every day…..we can't be sick, tired, or absent because we don't want to let our family/team down.

Ferocious Hunting: If you need that sold-out, hard-to-find holiday gift or required reading book, ask a mom, she will find it. Mom's are resourceful and know how to use their network of other moms.

Listening: Mom's know how to make their family feel important and heard, not just with their ears.

Follow up: Every mom knows just because you asked your kid to go to bed or be home by a particular time doesn't mean it will; you have to check-in and ensure it happened.

Negotiation: Mom's face tough negotiators every step of the way. If moms can navigate raising a child, they can have the confidence to sit across the table from an unreasonable prospect.

Learning/growing: When we are born, we know little; as we grow, we learn thru life experiences. The more moms can expose their kids to, the more they learn. We all need to lean forward, ask more questions, get out of our comfort zones and embrace change.

Handling Rejection: When your child hurts, you hurt, except the mom positively leads the recovery. Someday you will be on the phone with your son, and he'll say, "Mom, that's my gal calling; I need to go." Sadly, then you know, you have done your job.
