The Swedish auto brand unveiled the Volvo XC40 Recharge in the virtual world, Volvoverse – which provides accessible 3D experiences in this new era of digital platforms.?

This announcement was in line with its two major future goals. The brand plans to go all-electric by 2030 and be fully carbon neutral by 2040. The physical event is estimated to have produced 170kgs of CO2 emission in a one-day event. However, the virtual launch will help moderate the ecological impact by using green screen shoots and virtual studios as they remove the need for location shoots and events (reduces carbon footprint) and maximizes the utilization of the captured content.
