Why Me??
When life unfolds just as you hoped, have you ever paused to ask, “Why me?” Probably not. Instead, you soak in the joy of everything falling perfectly into place. But what do we really mean when we say, “Things are going my way?” It’s that exhilarating feeling when your wishes align with reality, and it seems like the universe is granting your every desire.
What happens when life doesn’t go as planned? When our carefully laid-out dreams fall apart, we often feel abandoned and defeated. It’s in these moments that we cry out, “Why me?” We grumble, slip into the role of a victim, and some even label themselves as “unlucky”. Yet, in our frustration, we fail to see the bigger picture—the hidden good that might be unfolding beyond our understanding.
In the current mindset, I’d often ask, “How do you know your way is the best way?” What if the setbacks you’re facing now—the ones that disrupt your plans—are actually paving the way for something better? How can you be certain that your choices are the ultimate path? Perhaps what’s unfolding, even if it feels contrary to your desires, is setting the stage for you to rise higher than you ever imagined.
In my experience, when the road ahead is unclear, your plans have crumbled, and even your complaints have run out, that’s the perfect moment to surrender and trust the process. When life feels still and nothing seems to be moving, something profound is taking shape within you—something far greater than you can imagine. In the quiet, a million possibilities quietly unfold.
In the epic Mahabharata, Lord Krishna humbly takes the reins as Arjuna’s charioteer, declaring himself the driver of the chariot. Initially, Arjuna feels a pang of shame, unable to reconcile the idea of his divine friend assuming what seems like a lowly role. Yet, in truth, this “driver” is none other than the Creator—the all-powerful God who steers not only the chariot but the entire course of the battle itself.
In the same way, when you surrender to the Almighty, the Supreme Godhead, or Lord Krishna, He takes the reins of your life, guiding you out of chaos into realms beyond your imagination. In those moments when all plans collapse, and the cry of “Why me?” echoes in your heart, hold on to trust, faith, and devotion. The best is on its way—whether you can see it or not. Even the darkest times serve a purpose, becoming the very foundation for brighter days ahead.
