Why is Massive Action Important?

Massive Action is a must and believe it or not, most of us have done it already!!

I was not blessed with coordination, but I was gifted with discipline and a great work ethic. Being raised in rural Missouri, there was not much to do. So, I did everything I could. I was in FFA, various choirs and bands, basketball, cheerleading, AND track.

I constantly pushed myself to get on the varsity cheerleading squad and basketball team. Although I worked hard in an attempt to make first chair in band and choir, I was always second. Yet, I did have the privilege of being a captain of the cheerleading squad and was able to be a leader.

I took massive action, meaning I was purposeful and practiced my rear off. I took big and focused actions to yield big results. I worked so hard and often was at school from 6:30 am until almost 10:00 pm. Again, I worked hard and was not able to reach the goals I wanted for myself at that time. Now I can see the actual achievement made. Through these experiences, I was able to learn discipline and leadership skills, which are priceless. I am sincerely thankful for things NOT being easy because I learned more things that I have taken with me through life.?

How do you take massive action, you may ask??

Here are some practical steps:?

  1. It all starts with your “WHY” or your main/big goal.?
  2. Take the big goal or “WHY” and break it down into smaller goals or bite-sized goals to get you to accomplish the bigger goal.??
  3. Prioritize the actions to get you closer to your goals. Focus on those things that will get you a higher return on your efforts and then work down.?
  4. Outsource tasks you do not like doing or don’t know how to do.?
  5. Time management is important to make sure you are doing actions to get you closer to accomplishing your goals.?
  6. ACT! Reaching your goals takes action. You can’t just set a goal and let it ride.
  7. Assess your progress and pivot or adjust as needed. Here is where you may be tempted to give up but don't fall for it…keep pushing through. Imposter syndrome will start to creep in and you may feel like you are not enough.?
  8. Have a coach or mentor to help you stay focused and to think through more options. As a coach, I help my clients strategize regularly.?

I am a life coach and this is what I work with my clients on. I am thankful I have experience in taking massive action both as an entrepreneur and business owner. I took massive action as a child and have been doing so pretty much since birth. We are in control of our thoughts and when we have them in check we are more powerful.
