Why is marketing important for me?

When we think about marketing, we usually ask ourselves:" Is marketing essential for my business?", "I don't work as a marketer, why must I learn Marketing?" and "What are the benefits of marketing for me when I don't want to work as a marketing management or a marketing agent?".

I know marketing is a special skill and a deep and academic knowledge, and when you want to learn it, you should read many books and maybe enroll in some courses. But why, when we don't have any job as a marketing agent or management, should learn marketing? This article explains some acceptable and persuading answers to these questions.

You are a businessman/woman even when you are an employee!

Yes! You read the correct sentence! Even if you are a simple employee, you are a businessman/woman, yet. Many of us don't think about our job as a business. Actually,?see ourselves in the job as a student in school. It is bad news, but many of us don't have a different pattern for our career duration. Some people think worse; they see themselves as prisoners in jail! If you are in the second group, please find a better job; this article maybe doesn't help you.

In the employee's philosophy, your "job" is the present of divines. You selected to do some work and can't change anything, I said "anything," and it's true for many people. In this paradigm, you don't need to think about the market and money, you just work well, don't speak, and make your boss happy! At the last of the month, you get your paycheck, and everything repeats for the next month.

On the other side, some people look at their jobs as a business. They see themselves as sellers. They sell themselves to others. In this paradigm, they don't need to take a paycheck, and they don't need to make anybody happy but their customers. All people are a node in their "Sales network." When this group studies in school, college, or in the courses, they buy knowledge and skills and fill out their resumes. Then they sales them to other people as "Jobs." In this philosophy, "Marketing skills" are critical. If you have a lower-salary job, look at it again; maybe you are a student, not a businessman/woman.

The first reason for studying marketing is to find in-depth insight into our jobs and career duration.

We want a better life, so we must be a marketer!

When you choose your major in high school, college, or university, enroll in a technical course, or try to learn a new skill,?you are doing a marketing job. You are trying to increase your price in the job market. These works help you to fill out your resume with many valuable names. A good resume and a skilled man means you are hiring for a high salary, or in other words, you can sell yourself for the highest salary.

So, If you see our jobs or lifestyle as a "seller," you have a good scale for choosing what you learn, present, and think.

Marketing is more than your career life

I don't want you to think of "marketing"?just as a tool or manner for increasing your salary or job success. Marketing changes our lives in many aspects. For example, for a moment, think about the car industry or flight companies, even your juice. Why these companies and industries are trying to recommend new services and better products to their customers? What is the main reason for changing our modern world? Marketing is the most powerful force for changing our modern world, improving our quality of life and better services and product.

When you are surfacing on a social media application, watching a TV show, listening to a favorite music, eating a cake, or dressing a cloth, you are among in a "Marketing plan." Somebody is thinking of these things as Marketing plans, and you are their "customer."

Even in political competitions, marketing is a powerful leverage to guide people and politicians to accept or reject an idea, candida, or act. In free countries, election process is a complicated process for many political parties to win the chairs in Parliament or the presidency.

A big part of your cost is for marketing

It is a bad sound that you know about 10 to 60 percent of your living cost are for marketing. Marketing has its cost. In a competitive market, companies have to spend a lot of money on their marketing plans. When you choose products and services,?indeed, accept these costs and pay your share. Marketers well know if they can't persuade you to buy what they offer, they lose their job. So, they use many tools, options, science, devices, and skilled sale person to you buy what they want.

So, whether you want or not, you pay for marketing costs. But don't worry about it, and don't sign an anti-marketing petition. Actually, when you think that one product and service is better than another, you make the world better. You make a better world by shopping wisely. So, you pay marketing costs when buying products and services and encourage marketing managers to improve their products and services.
