Life rewards us based on the efforts we put in per time. So, no matter how hard we try, it “GIGO” (garbage in, garbage out). This is the basic principles that moderates all of the human action based on “give and take”. But there is a proviso to this law which is the law of compensation that state when you do not get rewarded for what you worked for; you will inadvertently be rewarded for putting in less effort. The former is the focus of this essay, not the latter.
However, these two laws will take its toll on you in your bid to achieving anything life regardless of your age, colour, tribe, religion, etc. They ensure that you have gone through the process of your making to be ready before you can enjoy the success that comes with your efforts. So, if you're not ready for it, nothing for you.
So many people at the beginning of the year will make boast with their plans to succeed but little did they know whether they are ready for the success they gunning for or not. Life does not give you what you want, rather it gives you what you deserve.
More so, against everything you have written down to achieve, you will be tested to ascertain whether you're ready to receive them. Against all odds, what determines what you will eventually achieve depends on your level preparation and readiness to appropriate your plans. Readiness must equal opportunity for anything worthwhile to happen.
Here, we are not talking about the reality of your plans because the reality of your plans is subject to your perception. Rather we are questioning whether you have developed the capacity and capability to produce results according to your plans. That is to say that for sure, life will test your resolve.
A man named Peter who was one of the Apostles of the greatest teachers ever lived told his Master named Jesus of Nazareth that he would die with Him. Later on, His Master told him that about thing you said, the devil will have to try you to ensure whether you meant it or not. Guess what, he failed the test.
The interesting thing about that story was that the Master had informed him that he was going to fail the test because based on his personal growth, development, and management, he was not ready. But He right there told him that when he was ready to pass the test, he should be able to strengthen his brethren. That is to say that we only succeed when we are ready for it, never when we think we are ready for it.
There is an important lesson here for us. We shouldn't be more interested in what we hope to achieve, rather we should be more concerned with being ready to achieve those things we hope to achieve. The odds are when you're ready, the achievements are inevitable.
Most of your struggles could have been avoided if you had paid more attention to growing and developing and managing yourself into the person that you're looking forward to being than just thinking that you will become that person by every means possible.
The truth is that life will test you to prove you either right or wrong. Life happens to those who are not prepared for it, but those who are prepared for life make history. Life is not cowered by your plans, dreams, and aspiration. Rather it will ensure that you get exactly what you deserve, nothing more or less.
How did I know about this? This year, I had said that I would publish 12 books, but only ended up with 3. I just realized that I was not ready yet, not that I could not. It is like expecting a baby boy to impregnate a full-blown woman. It won’t work, no matter how hard he tries. Life will happen to him. But when by physical growth development he's mature and ready, he will happen to life.
The dilemma of our generation is covetousness. We hope to achieve what others have achieved without asking whether we are ready or not or better still designed to achieve those things. Yes, confession brings possession, but in the process of time.
Being aware of what your life will be is entirely different from being ready for what your life will be. The truth is, when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. See the success you hope for as the teacher that life affords. Are you ready? If for sure you are, then the teacher will definitely appear shortly.
Align your plans to your personal growth, development, and management, and watch yourself happen to life.
