Why not make it a team effort?

Why not make it a team effort?

Last week, we looked at the power of?intrinsic motivation?– today, we’re focusing on how it can help you maintain the momentum of your marketing and BD plans.

As professional services firms, we tend to set lots of goals, then face the challenge of actually turning them into reality. The key is to make sure each action becomes a real team effort.

Employees who report feeling part of a team are?2.7 times more likely?to be fully engaged at work. So, when implementing new plans, creating a positive team culture will help individuals feel invested in the results.

Direction:?you need a clear goal to work towards, and realistic metrics to track progress so everyone is on the same page.

Responsibilities:?play to individual strengths, making sure each person understands not only their main role, but the unique skills they contribute.

Communication:?check in regularly as a team and 1-to-1, involving everyone in decisions so they feel like they have a stake in the project.

When people develop and try out new ideas within a supportive team, they’ll be far more motivated.

“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.”
