Why Is LinkedIn Better Than Facebook?
These days, with over two hundred million active users and with an estimated fifty percent increase in sales recorded over the last twelve months alone, more people are realising the value of having their networking connections available. With the introduction of applications such as Google+, Facebook has been forced to focus on providing a more social experience for users and adapt their services accordingly. Whilst Facebook still boasts a large and active user base, the addition of social plugins has forced Facebook into playing catch-up, and currently, LinkedIn has passed the test of time by being the most popular professional networking site on the web.
So why is LinkedIn better than Facebook? It's easy to see why so many people use LinkedIn, for work related social networking, contact management and so forth - it's no wonder it is the go-to solution for professionals these days. The other reason is that LinkedIn makes the process of connecting with others much easier than Facebook, as you can do so from just one place. This can be a highly convenient way of working out whether or not someone is worth adding to your social networking friend list - particularly if you are not prepared to spend time building up a relationship with someone immediately.
There is no doubt that social networking will continue to have an important role to play in the future. Whilst Facebook may have underestimated the importance of becoming a popular networking tool for business, LinkedIn has definitely over-estimated its own importance. It is probably fair to say that LinkedIn will continue to lead the way for business networking. In fact, should you wish to get ahead in the future, you could even think about trying out LinkedIn to keep an eye on your career and contacts.
