Why Limble?
Earlier this year my Dad passed away. We didn't have much time to say our goodbyes. It all happened so fast - he had a biopsy, and two weeks later, he was gone. Thankfully, my Dad was a constant presence in my life since day one, so I had plenty of years to cherish the time we spent together. No matter how old I get, I'll always proudly call myself a "Daddy's girl."
My father was truly remarkable. In my eyes, he was a master of all trades, imparting invaluable skills like car maintenance, roofing, electrical work, and the art of hanging light fixtures. My deep love for music stemmed from the countless tunes that filled our home during my childhood. Dad took me to my first concert, Eric Clapton, not to mention other amazing concerts like Fleetwood Mac, Elton John and Chicago. He set me up with a pretty sweet sound system including a new Technics SL1200 G turntable with a Shure V15 Type III stylus, a plethora of vintage vinyl albums and his original, meticulously maintained 1970s Acoustic Research speakers he purchased in Germany while he was in the Air Force.? I miss him dearly, yet grateful for the memories and life skills he took time to teach me.?
Besides being an amazing dad, he spent nearly 30 years working as a maintenance worker for Philip Morris USA in Concord, NC. He was one of the original hires when the plant started up. Everyone knew him as the guy who could fix anything that was broken. Plus, he had a knack for coding in the 90s and became a whiz at programming. He used his skills to create tools that made the maintenance department run more efficiently. Oh, and the stories he had from those years? Absolutely captivating. His retirement party was so packed that there was barely any standing room left in Philip Morris Bay 5.
So, when I was presented with the opportunity to join Limble , an incredible company specializing in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, designed by maintenance professionals for maintenance professionals, I couldn't help but feel that my Dad had a hand in aligning the stars for me. Limble's mission, "Empowering the Unsung Heroes" in the maintenance realm, resonates deeply with me, as my Dad was undeniably one of these heroes. He would have been awestruck by Limble CMMS , not only for its impeccable user interface and functionality but also for how this tech company prioritizes a human-centered approach, keeping the people who keep our world running at the forefront of its mission.
From machinists crafting car parts to city maintenance workers ensuring our water is treated properly for consumption, to the dedicated individuals in local school districts maintaining safe learning environments for our children, the list goes on, thank you for all you do. You are seen and appreciated.??
And to Limble , I want to say thanks for giving me the chance to build a Partnership Ecosystem that aligns with our values and mission . I couldn't be more grateful and excited to work with this fantastic team of incredible humans. Together, we're going to do something amazing.
