In a world where change is the only constant, embracing lifelong learning is not just beneficial, it's essential for success.
Whether it is via Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, or free MIT classes on YouTube, it has never been easier to access knowledge and if you are able to stoke your curiosity and make time for continuous learning you will:
- Stay relevant: The pace of change in technology and industry trends is breathtaking. To not just survive but thrive, adapting through learning is key.?
- Fuel creativity and innovation: New knowledge sparks new ideas. It's a great fuel for innovation and solving problems creatively.?
- Build confidence and competence: The more you learn, the more skilled and confident you become. It's a cycle of positive reinforcement that propels your career forward.
- Leverage and grow your network: Learning isn't just about formal education. It also happens through interactions, collaborations, and networking. Each person you meet can teach you something new and your learning journey will also allow you to extend your current professional circle.
- Have the right attitude towards failures: Remember, every mistake can be a learning opportunity. It's not about never failing; it's about learning from each fall.? In fact, if you have not failed yet, chances are that you have not been ambitious enough!
The benefits are clear, and the internet makes it easy to start learning journeys. But do you really take advantage of it?
Wherever you are at in your career (fresh out of school or busy exec), I would love to hear in the comments how you are keeping your skills fresh and making time for lifelong learning and personal growth.

1 年Nicolas Bidon Yes, that's clear. For yesterday, today and tomorrow. We've been fighting for this for 20 years ?? ??

1 年Thanks Nicolas! I doubt anyone will post that they disagree of course, although many are probably trapped in their daily life treadmills. I have a few specific learning focuses, like AI. I personally find podcasts to be a great way to learn while on the move. The trick is finding the ones with lots of information and less chatting! I do pick up some more formal courses on the learning platforms, usually when I need a deeper dive into a topic. Many of the tech businesses also have great learning courses and professional certifications, like AWS for instance. The world is surely changing at pace now, so learning ability and adaptability are more critical than ever.

1 年100% agree with this mindset and the numerous benefits of continuous learning. I personally won't stop learning new things, whether it be through formal education, certifications, online courses, or those of us (like me) fortunate enough to have access to alumni resources and courses.
