Why less than ideal conditions are creating the best conditions EVER for scaling growth NOW

I like mountain biking.
When you watch professional mountain bikers do what they do, you can’t help but think “It’s just riding a bike… Right?” (they make it look SO easy!)
But it actually takes an incredible amount of physical and mental stamina and strength. Especially if you’re competing at very high levels. If you want to be the best.
When the best mountain bikers train, do they train...
… On sunny days?
… In perfect conditions?
…. On a perfectly groomed hill?
…. WIthout any mud, holes, or tree stumps to watch out for?
Or do they train…
… In the rain?
… In the cold?
… In the mud?
… In the toughest conditions they can find?
I’ve been thinking a lot about the market conditions over the past few months. I think if I said that the market conditions were “less than ideal”, it would be an understatement. It’s been a challenging time for many businesses.
But like mountain biking, there’s no better opportunity for growth and improvement than when conditions aren’t ideal. This is something I practice in my own business. When times are tough, I get dialed in and focus on one thing, and one thing only.
It’s my offer.
If you can generate a really killer offer, it won’t matter if the market is poor, if you’re bad at sales, or if your marketing is a little inconsistent. (or even a hot mess!)
You need to stack the odds in your favor to get great results. It comes down to the 80/20 rule. When you focus on those critical few things that make the biggest difference, it doesn’t matter if you’ve got it all figured out yet.
When you have a laser focused offer that addresses your client’s most immediate needs, you attract clients who pay more. Sometimes MUCH more. Our clients are increasing their fees by double or more. But we guarantee 50-200% higher fees.
Yes, even less than ideal markets.
When you have this kind of focus, you’ll notice that you actually have less competition, because your clients will be ignoring everything that doesn’t speak to their most immediate need.
I have to admit, things have been a little messy here at Hands-Off CEO? on the back-end. It seems like every time we get things organized, more growth happens. Then it’s time for my poor Ops team to clean things up. (organized chaos, anyone?)
Success in business (or in mountain biking!) is never linear:
Curious about how we do it at Hands-Off CEO?? On Wednesdays at 1pm Pacific, we hold Executive Briefings where we discuss what’s working to scale growth. The strategies we discuss have stood the test of time and are proven to work regardless of the market.
Send me a quick message with what your business is and what type of clients you serve, and my team will give you access to the next Executive Briefing.
