Why Keyword Domains (.in and .co.in)?

Just today I ran into 2 sites - Rubberbands.co.in and Rubberbands.in , both owned by small companies in India with relatively no brand recognition. Now with these Exact Match Keyword domains , they now have a Seat at the Table and Immediate Name Recognition in the RubberBands market in India. How great is that, just by acquiring or using these domains they have added more oomph to their respective brands. In India, there are millions of small to mid size business who are probably in this situation, where their brands are small and have little name recognition, but if they invest in acquiring Keyword /Category Defining domains, they can catapult their online presence and overall market name recognition.

By the way, larger companies in India , like Amul (own Butter.in, Ghee.in ) Godrej (owns Locks.in) and Hindustan Unilever own 1000's of domain names (.in and .co.in). They already are aware of this strategy of using Keyword domains, however many mid to small business in India are still navigating this concept.
