Why Keeping All Trainings In-House is a Bad Idea

The Power of Hiring Outside Speakers and Trainers for Sales, Motivation, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Companies and Schools Far Outweighs Doing it for free.

In today's fast-paced and ever-evolving world, organizations and educational institutions are constantly seeking innovative ways to stay competitive, motivate their teams, and foster a diverse and inclusive environment. One powerful strategy that has gained significant traction is bringing in outside speakers and trainers who specialize in sales, motivation, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. These experts bring fresh perspectives, invaluable knowledge, and transformative experiences that can truly revolutionize the way businesses and schools operate. In this article, we explore why hiring outside speakers and trainers is essential for unlocking growth, empowering individuals, and building a stronger, more inclusive future.

  1. Expertise and Industry Insights:

Outside speakers and trainers possess specialized knowledge and experience in their respective fields. By tapping into their expertise, organizations and schools can gain valuable insights and stay at the forefront of industry trends. Whether it's sales strategies, motivational techniques, or DEI best practices, these professionals offer a wealth of knowledge that can enhance existing skill sets and inspire individuals to achieve greater success.

  1. Fresh Perspectives and Inspiration:

Bringing in external speakers and trainers injects a breath of fresh air into the routine operations of a company or school. Their diverse backgrounds, unique journeys, and personal anecdotes can inspire teams to think differently, challenge conventional wisdom, and embrace innovation. By sharing real-world stories and case studies, these speakers ignite creativity, foster a growth mindset, and encourage individuals to push beyond their comfort zones.

3. Enhanced Motivation and Performance:

Motivation is the lifeblood of any successful organization or educational institution. External speakers and trainers have mastered the art of igniting motivation and driving performance to new heights. Their engaging presentations, dynamic delivery, and powerful storytelling captivate audiences, helping them envision their potential and reignite their passion for success. With renewed motivation, individuals become more focused, resilient, and driven to achieve their goals.

4. Building a Culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:

Creating an inclusive and equitable environment is a top priority for companies and schools today. Outside speakers and trainers who specialize in DEI play a crucial role in fostering a culture of belonging and understanding. Through interactive workshops, thought-provoking discussions, and practical strategies, they help organizations and schools embrace diversity, dismantle biases, and empower individuals from all backgrounds to contribute their unique perspectives. By prioritizing DEI, businesses and educational institutions unlock the full potential of their workforce and student body, leading to improved collaboration, innovation, and overall success.

5. Networking and Collaborative Opportunities:

Bringing in outside speakers and trainers presents an excellent opportunity for networking and collaboration. These experts often have vast professional networks and can connect organizations and schools with other thought leaders, influencers, and industry experts. By fostering connections and facilitating collaborations, they create a ripple effect that extends beyond their own presentations, leading to long-term partnerships, new opportunities, and expanded horizons.

In an era of rapid change and increasing demands for growth, motivation, and inclusivity, hiring outside speakers and trainers for sales, motivation, and DEI initiatives is no longer an option; it's a necessity. These experts bring a wealth of knowledge, fresh perspectives, and inspiration that can transform organizations and educational institutions from the inside out. By embracing the power of external voices, we unlock the potential for growth, empower individuals, and build stronger, more inclusive communities that thrive in the face of challenges. So, let us embrace this transformative strategy and create a future where every individual and organization can achieve their greatest potential.

Companies or Schools may initially think they are saving money, but the truth is they're losing money and costing themselves more money in the long run. You want employees or students to believe you want the best for them, when you won't hire the best for them or someone who quite possibly has a different perspective or a greater level of expertise. If you don't believe in them, why should they believe in you. It's great for the ego to present yourself, but hurts the company. It's important to VET in-house trainers too. Make sure they are indeed elite in their field and PAY them. If you're using them to "save" money what are you really telling them? Just a thought.
