Why

My Why. NOT, Why Me? As in, why was I chosen to be named Jaime? Why was I a twin? Why do I love sports, and my twin hates sports? Why do I enjoy nature? Why do I have a passion for helping others? Why do I always smile and love to dance?
I got to thinking about my why and random questions like these just popped up. Isn't everyone seeking to find out their why? Am I the only one? Don't you want to know how you were chosen to be who you are and want to know what your purpose in life is? We all have a purpose, and until our purpose has been fulfilled, the plan is that we will live out our mortal life until then.
Our life is a journey of living, learning, and understanding, providing us direction to help us to perform our life's purpose. We live and learn within this school we call life. We learn something new every day, whether we realize it or not. We learn from strangers, loved ones, teachers, bosses, events, daily occurrences, our actions, failures, successes, and even from our thoughts that ebb and flow. Some people seek to learn more rapidly by researching the unknown, listening intently, and hearing what others have to say, moments of clear perception in both happy times and sad times, and, most of all, making mistakes and learning from them. Trial and error is the fastest way to learn. If you don't succeed try, try again, and you need to fail before you succeed, isn't that what they always say?
There are tragic times of pain, suffering, and loss. We ask, Why? Why Me? Well, it's because it's a time to learn. Yes, things happen in our lives that are horrific and sad. It's hard to fathom that something like that can happen to us. Some ask, God, why me? But there is a purpose for everything that happens. We don't always learn in a traditional sense of learning. Sometimes we need tragedy in order to learn and grow. You ask Why? It may be to make us stronger or to make us a survivor for others in our lives. To gain strength to fight back or to allow us to be heard. It might be to give us the ability to change our path because we were too afraid to change. When life is not moving in the direction we were meant to live, sometimes, it takes something so terrible to happen to redirect us.
Life is a journey worth living. Pay attention to the details, learn from all of your experiences, both good and bad. Accept them all, including bad decisions. They will make you who you are and whom you are supposed to be. Don't look back, focus on today, and today will move you into tomorrow, and may all your tomorrows be better than today.
