Why I've donated blood for 38 years
As many of you know, I'm passionate about donating blood. I was surprised to see KEZI, KMTR & The Register Guard at Lane Bloodworks yesterday when I did another donation. When I started in 1984, I had no idea how many lives I'd be able to save and the awesome good karma I get from knowing I can do that.
In case you didn't know, there is NO substitute for blood and there is ALWAYS a shortage because only 35% of people are eligible to donate, yet less than 10% regularly do so.
