Why I've Decided to Start a Podcast: Cool Careers Podcast

I'm thrilled to announce the launch of a passion project that has been brewing in my mind for quite some time (well 6 weeks to be exact from waking up in the night to jotting down some ramblings in my iPhone notes) – the Cool Careers Podcast.

In taking this bold step, I aim to create a space where career enthusiasts can find inspiration, advice, insight and a sense of community to navigate the often challenging and dynamic landscape of being an adult/careers.

Why Start a Podcast?

1. A Genuine Desire to Help People:

Embarking on the Cool Careers Podcast journey stems from my sincere desire to make a positive impact on people's lives. Having been in the recruitment field for many years, I've witnessed the power of shared experiences and insights in transforming career trajectories. This podcast is my way of paying it forward, offering guidance, and shedding light on diverse career paths.

The Vulnerability of Opening Up:

Launching this podcast is an incredibly vulnerable move for me. As a recruiter, sharing my interviewing style and opening myself up to judgment is undoubtedly intimidating. However, I firmly believe in the power of authenticity. By showcasing my approach to interviews and candidly sharing my experiences (and network), I hope to demystify the recruitment process and provide valuable insights to both candidates and fellow recruiters.
