And now, let’s dive in!
One “must” for this week
“Why it's okay to feel sad” by Susan Cain and Jay Shetty.
It is a beautiful conversation on Jay’s podcast that discusses the importance of accepting and embracing sadness while challenging the notion of toxic positivity. They advocate instead for open conversations about sorrow and loss, and accepting the bittersweet nature of life.
I especially loved this quote: "the willingness to accept that life is a mix of joy and sorrow is one of the great bonding agents we have because we all are humans who are in that same state of being".

8 个月Roberto Ferraro I see feelings as waves ?? , they have peaks and valleys. And often when you’re sad I find what’s most useful is to sit with the emotion. It often fades. We need sadness to appreciate happiness. How can we see and appreciate the light if we don’t see the dark ? We need the contrast. We need to feel feelings. As leaders - empathetic leaders - feels are okay and it’s okay to admit when things are not okay. Thanks for sharing.
