Why iSource Hire for Attitude over Skills ?

This "hiring for attitude and training for skill" idea has become something of a fad, but it has become iSource’s motto; this is the fair share we agree. Yes, every single time.

Check out the lifecycles of our staff in our previous articles & posts in our page

?Almost 40 percent of every iSource employee’s began their career as fresher and the rest are between 8 to 12 years of experience. Furthermore, more than 50 percent of them moved inside the organisation, from their original position to one that better matched their specific skills. Few people come into our company knowing exactly what they want to accomplish or how they want to help the company, but that almost always changes during and after their probationary time.

We don't hire job descriptions when we recruit people. We rarely check for certain abilities (highly skilled positions are a different beast).

When we consider adding another person to the team, we consider their attitude, how they communicate with recruiters/HR, what motivates them, and how they work best. Do they place a premium on education and skill development? We are curious if we'll be able to keep them in my organisation in the long run, or if this is just a phase.

Concentrating on those characteristics nearly always results in a recruit that fits in with our long-term staff and well-established systems. Even better, it typically indicates we've found someone who is willing to jump in and learn the abilities that will help my business flourish. In exchange, we nurture their interests and encourage them to try new things.
