Why isn't my LinkedIn post getting much attention even though the group has millions of members?

I see lots of other interesting and helpful answers to this question on Quora. Most of what I read refers to ways one can improve the posts potential engagement level, so I won’t waste time repeating them.

Like for example improving our post if it isn’t engaging in general, etc.

However groups are a different to Facebook groups, and have never been a priority for Linkedin.

So I will add additional reasons why the group dynamic may also be playing a factor as to why our post may not be getting attention on the group

These points will be directed towards you (the reader), but I need to follow this as well:

1. The group itself is not very active. When I say active, I am speaking of active engagement like posting, liking and commenting happening frequently on the group.There are several groups that have lots of members, but the members themselves aren’t very active on LinkedinYou will want to try on your own profile and your company profile in order to compare if it is the post itself, or the group that is inhibiting your exposure
2. If you reshared a post into the group versus posting fresh or straight into the group, this will also inhibit exposure. Don’t reshare or repost into a group. Post directly.
3. If your post is identical to other places you posted on linkedin, like other groups on Linkedin, this will also inhibit exposure to your post.

In general, if you do not own the group, you cannot ‘recommend your post’, which is one of the only effective ways to push out your content to the group.

The other option would be to use the ad platform to target the group members specifically.
