Why Inflammation

Why Inflammation

I met my special guest Mike M. this week in the business community Eliances, Where Entrepreneurs Align , I've seen his presentation a couple of times, and Mike is in my favorite video from my wedding = I'm pumped for our conversation!

What Inflammation?

I didn't deep-dive into this. I did Google 'Inflammation' and read the standard description to ensure I understood the definition and didn't say anything embarrassingly far off. I associate the word with pink and red skin. On a higher level, associate the word with a general "not good" feeling on whatever we're talking about.

Body's rejection

Outside of the quick Google search mentioned above, my following points on Inflammation are as I currently understand the word. Sharing my current state strategically sets the stage for Mike to correct or elaborate on my observations and assumptions = Good conversation!

Inflammation is a system in disorder. Thinking as I type, disorder is not the right word. I believe inflammation is our body's fighting the disorder (skinless, infected, something that's not right..etc). I'm picturing inflammation and fever as functionally the same kinda of body response. Not sure if that's true?

Is Inflammation the chicken or the Egg?

Setup for Mike and sincere question, is inflammation the output or input? I believe it's an output or an effect of, not cause of = this perspective is flawed. I'm now picturing this definition as a measure of depth with inflammation in the middle of the cause-and-effect flow = Something caused the inflammation and Inflammation caused something else.

How Inflammation?

What variables most commonly move our balanced human body system of order to a state of disorder? Not every disorder gets inflamed. Why do some injuries and not others? Is it chemical? Or severity of injury (disorder)? Is there an upper limit to inflammation, as in, can something get 'maxed inflamed?'

How not Inflammation

What does a person do about inflammation once something is inflamed? Inflammation has likely been around for a long time and in turn, its highly probable systems in the body are tuned into its ever-present possibility.

I'm picturing this evolutionarily and since Inflammation is such a big, constant, 'always' type risk, what normal human body functions, evolutionarily speaking are the output of this inflammation input?

What happens at 0% Inflammation = Dream outcome?

Thank you for sharing your insights. We're excited to see the conversation around inflammation grow and evolve.
