Why is it important to support Nurses?

If you are a Nurse or know Nurse you probably know a few things about our profession.
We are and have been for the past 17 years, "THE most trusted profession".
We love to nurture, care and support others.
We are educated. We ARE professionals.
We work long hours. We give up nights and weekends for the greater good.
We leave our families in times of disaster. But did you know....
We are bullied. We have managers that are "stuck in the middle". We make mistakes, sometimes fatal ones. We are in high demand. We cry as we wipe your tears.
So with this yin and yang of our noble profession, I often find myself asking myself.
Could we be better supported? I mean after all, we are the crux of healthcare.
No order gets carried out without a Nurse. No new mother gets educated without a Nurse. No healthcare team thrives without a Nurse.
My goodness wow, where would healthcare be without a NURSE?
So as we, Nurses, across the country celebrate "our week", I ask you to celebrate with us all year long! Celebrate our highs and lows. Celebrate our wins and losses. Celebrate every coming and every going, because you see, the world would be a frightful place without Nurses.
Thank you Nurses for all that you do, from Michelle Rhodes Media LLC
we celebrate you ALL ***** YEAR ****** LONG******.
Your talents do not go unnoticed!
Happy Nurses Week 2019 to all of my fellow compassionate, kind, and life-saving Nurses! #RN
