Here's what I've learned after 20+ years of transforming workplace cultures: if you don't have your senior leaders fully on board, even the best culture initiatives are doomed to fail. I've watched brilliant HR teams pour their hearts into culture change programmes, only to see them fizzle out because their C-suite saw culture as 'HR's thing' rather than a business imperative.
But I've also seen what happens when senior leaders truly get it. When they understand that culture shapes every decision, every innovation, and every pound of profit.
These organisations don't just reduce conflict and boost engagement – they become powerhouses of innovation where people genuinely want to work.
That's why I'm taking a different approach in 2025.
