I respect the curation at FX Networks. They keep delivering shows with a singular vision. Some of the competition try to be everything for everyone, while they run a "Fearless" (their slogan) brand with series like:

  • ATLANTA
  • AMERICAN HORROR STORY
  • DAVE
  • DAVID CHOE SHOW

Many people in Hollywood want projects "to cut through the clutter", but at the same time they are scared of taking risks.

They could fail...

That's true, but if you play it too safe nobody will notice what you're doing in a crowded media landscape.

Also, the industry is quickly getting disrupted and evolving:
