Why I'm excited for Frieze Week

Why I'm excited for Frieze Week

It's that time of year again... all of my art-world colleagues are working long hours, our offices are buzzing and rumours are floating around about the exciting things that galleries will be exhibiting at Frieze London and Frieze Masters this year (3 - 8 October 2017, Regent's Park).

I can't wait to see what magical items are exhibited at the two fairs, but also what will be happening at the 1:54 fair at Somerset House, PAD (Pavilion of Art & Design) London at Berkeley Square, The Other Art Fair near our offices at the Truman Brewery and Unfold Space, a new initiative on Church Street. Basically, if you're in London next week, you're guaranteed not to be bored and to have so much new inspiring content to think about.

But, we at Vastari have taken on the challenge and decided to organise some events in parallel to the fairs, at an exciting new venue in South Kensington that's opening in 2019 called Cromwell Place.

The events will be called "Blueprint Breakfast Briefings" and it's a series of panel discussions every morning next week that will discuss innovations and/or ideas shaping the art world. I am so proud of what we're going to be talking about, from Authenticity in the Digital World to how spaces need to evolve for 21st century content, and even a Dragons-den-style Pitch Breakfast of some of the hottest new startups in the art world. On the Thursday we have collaborated with the Fleming Collection and Thomas Marks will be moderating a discussion between three British private foundations in discussion with a Spanish one. Friday I can't wait to see Resch, Petterson and Bourron debate data in the art world. I am so excited that we have been able to collaborate with Cromwell Place to bring together such brilliant minds on all fronts.

Find out more details about the events below, or at this blog post. We'd love to see you there!
