It’s been a crazy 7 -10 days
First I get Covid; I don't know how we escaped it for 2 years. It's left me lethargic and with a foggy brain (no change I hear you say!)
A bit of a panic at home, so I relocated at a hotel to safeguard Wendy, who has a suppressed immunity. The next 48 hours were a haze.
Then Wendy gets Covid!! So whilst I move back home we spend the next 48 hours working with the doctors to get Wendy the critical medication she needs. No I didn't test my blood pressure during this time!
Then the dog gets Covid!! (I know WTF!..the dog has Covid Symptoms!!)
He's now 18 and has dementia and partial blindness. He's been at our sides through thick and thin and has occasionally recognised Wendy is sick before she does. The care level has gone up another notch.
Oh yes with all this going on we are also trying to sell our apartment!
Very few clients or my network had any idea this was going on.
It’s a normal week in our lives.
As I mentioned in January 2020, I've lived in a Covid style world for 17 years, so change and dealing with the unexpected is nothing new.
Our world is different to your world. Not better, not worse. Just different
With everything going on it would have been easy to cancel the apartment inspection.
We didn’t we worked with the agent (they were the best) to manage through our Covid isolation.
Wendy and I struggled to get the place ready; she normal runs on 60% lung capacity, and Covid had ignited by asthma again. We didn’t complain. We knew the end game.
Apartment SOLD!! The new venture starts.
What a week!
So come Monday (yesterday) I’m in a tough spot. I just want to sleep, sleep and sleep. Running on 2 hrs sleep a night is not sustainable in anyone's world.

Actually, it would have been easier not to write one.
Easy is not a word that spends a lot of time in my life.
And then I tell myself.
“It's ok Gordon. You are doing your best. The apartment wasn't as clean as normal, yet you achieved the intended result (maybe we tried too hard the weeks we didn't get an offer??). Be grateful’
And I am.
Grateful for the fantastic health team keeping Wendy going, grateful to the estate agent working with us through our Covid, and grateful to the people buying our apartment.
Life is good. Never a straight line. Life is good.
What 3 things are you grateful for today?
?Before you go....
