Why I'm All In on AI: A Down-to-Earth Perspective...

I’ve been thinking a lot about AI lately, and I’m all in. Why? Because AI has the power to change the world for the better.

I know some folks worry about AI going rogue, but let’s not get carried away. The real issue isn’t AI itself; it’s how we use it. Just like with the atomic bomb—it’s about the choices we make.

So, here’s my take - let’s focus on the good. We need everyday heroes—people who see AI’s potential and say, “Let’s make this work for everyone.” We need courageous folks who roll up their sleeves and put AI to use for a brighter future.

Sure, some people fret about “what might go wrong.” But that’s like worrying about rain when you’re building a barn. Instead, let’s talk about values—the core principles guiding the work we do in every area of our life. What drives your creativity, your problem-solving, solutioning, and fun? When core values are at the heart of your work, your outcomes will naturally demonstrate qualities that are innately good.

Simple example: Apples 1997 marketing rework and, in my own words, Passion was a core value. Steve Jobs naturally represented this in his work. As he put it: "At Apple, we believe that people with passion can change the world for the better. Those crazy enough to believe they can change the world for the better... do."

?This is a big change for most. Old-school decision-making often predicts doom and gloom, they resist change. But life’s always changing. Embrace it! Change is a consistently reoccurring inflection point, an opportunity to create something new and inspiring. What's more, there are proven methods to transform how we work together, tapping into our collective intelligence without letting AI take over. By combining human-centered creative approaches to problem-solving with AI tools, we ourselves will demonstrate new levels of value that are personally and professionally rewarding.

So, let’s be those everyday heroes. Let’s steer AI toward goodness and create a future we can all be proud of.?

Remember: AI isn’t the villain—it’s our trusty sidekick. Together, we’ll write a story that makes everyone proud.?
