Why I’m Against Charity (And It’s Not What You Think)

Charity, as we know it, isn’t as noble as it seems. When we engage in charity, we put ourselves in a position of superiority, as if we’re the ones with all the power and people we help are weak or incapable.

But the truth is, we’re all powerful beings with dignity, purpose, and the capacity to create our own lives.

Charity, in its traditional sense, takes that power away from people and places us (givers) on a pedestal, raising ourselves above those we claim to help.

Now, don’t get me wrong—compassion, love and support are vital. We should always be there for one another. But when we approach others from a place of charity, we’re unconsciously saying, "I have something you lack," instead of recognizing the innate strength and potential within every person.

True help should empower, not belittle. It’s about lifting each other up from a place of equality, not positioning ourselves as saviors.

That’s why I choose helping in my own way, by creating content like this.

Besides that, my wife and I launched an app - UNLOCK , designed to help you help yourself and create life on your own terms. With daily small steps you’ll be able to create the life you want.

I genuinely want to see everyone thrive.

5 years ago I desperately wanted to change my life and so I dove deep into studying neuroscience, epigenetics, quantum physics, psychology, and how the human brain works. And this completely shifted my life.

I am committed to this work because I believe in the power we humans have. The power to pave our own paths. And shape our own realities.

I want to see a world where everyone has the tools and support to live life on their own terms.
