Why I want to Change the World, One idea at a time

Technology, it turns out, is a brilliant way to feed problems into an array of the planet's true supercomputers: human brains. From transcribing and translating 2,000-year-old papyrus documents found in the dry desert around the Nile, to categorizing a million galaxies in Galaxy Zoo or folding protein molecules. We are all familiar with crowdsourced solutions, but it doesn't stop there...

For the past decade and a half I helped organizations drive innovation through data driven insights and decision making. Often stating the key problem isn't consumption aka pretty visualizations, but is more related to the data aspect. Identifying the right data, gathering it, cleaning, structuring and modelling it and eventually making it accessible. However, if I'm honest, the real problem sits even earlier in the process: how do organizations ask the right questions? How do they make sure they are seeking the answers to the right problems? And how do they find suitable solutions and ideas?

And that's why I am super excited to be joining Wazoku! There aren't many companies where you can literally help to achieve protecting astronauts from solar flares, preventing people from turning blind, repurposing over 50,000 unused oil wells or directly driving £30M in business value from ideas by engaging over 100,000 employees. And working with some of the brightest minds at the biggest brands and companies across the globe.

The team at Wazoku have developed a new vision, the Challenge Driven Enterprise, and a framework, Innovation at Scale, with far reaching implications that can improve the speed, agility, and efficiency of business. It enables new modes of innovation while creating the flexibility to capitalize on new business opportunities. Organizations will be able to tap into the brainpower of ALL of their employees wherever they are and sit in the business, their customers, suppliers and partners through co-creation communities but also gain access to a solver community of over 500,000 experts in a variety of fields. That's how a violinist solved a major problem for a potato chips company and how a chemist who poured concrete early in his career helped cleaning up the oil after the Exxon Valdez spill. And there are many more examples like this.

This is why I want to Change the World, One idea at a time!
