Why i use Notion? | Express review
I think most of us remember the time when you could remember all the lyrics from the second listening.
I even still remember a few German, Japanese and Italian songs. I have never learned these languages (learned a little German, but not for long).
What i have now?)
Unfortunately, I can no longer memorize things as well as I did 10 years ago.
My brain's hdd (not ssd, or it should work better =), as i feel sometimes, overloaded by different information.
Coding, cooking, algorithms, languages, frameworks, how to quickly pump stealth perk in Skyrim.... you know...
It is not easy to manage all this stuff.
For a long time I have been looking for a tool that will help me to structure and store my knowledges.
Do you remember how you wrote OVER9000 notes while studying in university or school?
I just realised: i need the same thing, but in digital environment.
I suffered, but kept some stuff in different apps. And it was very uncomfortable...
Some time ago I heard about 'Notion'.
But what is this? How this app/website can help me?
Ok, I'll just show you my 'feed'.
- Structuring. You can create categories, nested categories and super nested categories =)
And add links to your categories or different websites.
2. Customisation and snippets. It is fantastic!
You can add your code using the "code" snippet.
Or, for example, using "CodePen" integration.
3. Embed content. Google maps, PDFs, Github Hist - it is really cool feature.
4. Templates. You can select from a giant bunch of different amazing default templates.
+ you can create your own template and share this to Notion community. Like x 3!
5. Website and great iOS/Android/Windows/MacOS apps.
You can also share your notes and export them to, for example, PDF.
And it is Free for personal using!
No monthly/annual payments and annoying advertisement.
But if you need some advanced functionality, Notion is not really expensive.
