Why I Took a Break from My Newsletter—And Why It Made Me Better

Staying consistent is important. But so is knowing when to step back.

For the past eight years, I’ve been creating content, adding value, and showing up. And while I love it, there came a point where I had to ask myself: Am I creating because I have something meaningful to say… or just because I feel like I have to?

So, I took a break—not from growth, but from the constant cycle of posting. Instead of chasing quick dopamine hits from engagement metrics, I shifted my focus to the hard thing: execution.

And it was refreshing.

I had space to think. To reflect. To take real action instead of just talking about it. Because let’s be honest—consuming content is easy. Taking action is hard.

How many times have we read books, listened to podcasts, or saved posts… only to do nothing with that knowledge?

I’ve been guilty of it, and I know I’m not alone.

That’s why accountability matters. During my time as the Head of Business Development at Untap Your Sales Potential, I saw firsthand how the right community can push you past passive learning into action. Because at the end of the day, growth isn’t about how much you know—it’s about what you do with it.

Now that I’m back to writing this newsletter consistently, I see it like training a muscle. Just like going to the gym, running, or eating healthy, it takes practice.

You won’t be great at first, but over time, you build trust in yourself. You stop obsessing over the numbers and start focusing on the real reason you create: to serve.

And when you do that, you might just inspire someone else to take action too.

?So tell me—have you ever taken a step back from something, only to come back stronger?
