Why I signed the Responsive Org Manifesto
I believe that organisations need to transform themselves to remain relevant, so a year ago I founded Evolver with Magnus Blikeng to help companies get the skills and confidence to make the shift.
While the larger service companies hadn’t really changed their offering, we knew that we weren’t the only people working in this space, we were super inspired by Undercurrent, Hyper Island, Adaptive Lab & Brilliant Noise as well as the writings of Neil Perkins, & Helge Tenno.
We went to the responsive org London meetup a couple of weeks ago and during the excellent introduction from Matthew Partovi it clicked we were part of something bigger.
The meetup itself was great, with loads of interesting talks and sessions. My personal highlights were:
- Tom Nixon talking about the radical changes he made at Nixon McInnes last year.
- A fascinating discussion led by George Pór about Reinventing Organisations.
- Postshift's fast paced workshop with https://postshift.com/responsiveorg/ (which they are re-running this on the 12th May).
We signed the responsive org manifesto (number 738 as @evolverhq) because we support these principles and believe that a common taxonomy and shared experiences will help us accelerate change.
If you’re interested in this topic I’d recommend you sign up to the responsive org mailing list at the footer of this page and join the brilliant Facebook group.
Thanks to everyone who organised the responsive org meetup and shared their ideas and stories.
