Why I Retired Early, Part. 3

So, what’s the hardest part about me reaching early retirement?? That’s easy – relinquishing “self-importance” in my occupation [ego].? Attaining high positions, particularly in leadership, made it even more difficult for me.? However, once the need to lead dissipated, another world opened up.? And it’s a world you get to choose, for better or for worse.? Every day I get to choose my own character, instead of being assigned a character and proving myself constantly in the world.? It’s a time to find myself, especially since I’ve been working a long time and have gotten away from my true self.? Ten months in, I’m still narrowing my true desires while learning to listen to Spirit’s guidance.?

“How can I use my talents in early retirement, God, to better the world?”? The answer I’m constantly receiving is, “Better yourself, Kwame.? Get OUT of your ego.? Fix your mind, body, and soul.? It’s only when you are bettering yourself that I, God, can experience the best of this world through your experiences while trusting Me in every moment, and not relying on your own ‘plans.’” Furthermore, I’m hearing, “Let Me!? As basic as it may sound to you, someone has to retire early, while trusting Me, as an example of how to rely on Me.? Afterall, even birds rely on Me every day, yet you assume your intelligence. Birds don’t worry about being fed.? Birds don’t worry about the branch they perch or nest upon, because they rely on their wings, which I provided in case the branch breaks.”? It's an uncompromised knowing! Keeping the knowing is the hardest part.

My current “assignment” sounds simple, but it takes a lot of refocusing on a daily basis.? I’m typing these private words because I know deep down that I’m expected to share.? And not only share, but I’m expected to post on a professional-based social media platform.? And the "likes" can’t matter because that’s my ego.? It’s solely listening and trusting the Still Small Voice’s assignment.? My assignment?

·?????? Follow heart by Listening

·?????? Align to God’s plan

·?????? Discern God’s voice constantly

·?????? …and to act accordingly

“…and [then] all these things shall be added unto you.”? Matthew 6:34 says, “Take therefore no thought for the morrow; for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself…”? 300 days in, the Word is true to me, and it's amazing.
