Why I quit my multiple 6 figure job…

10 years ago I walked away from the easy life.?From the comfort, safety and security I’d worked hard to build.?
The so called dream life.
Great house in the suburbs, nice cars, tailor-made suit, beautiful family.? The works.?
So why did I walk away?
Simple. It wasn’t what I wanted. I thought it was, but when I achieved it, when I made it to the mountaintop, there was a lingering empty feeling. A sense of lack. Like there was more out there for me.?
You see the "dream life" came at a cost. A huge cost. Long hours. Boring meetings. Hitting rinse and repeat each day, and each week.?
It was like I was sleep walking through life. Living someone else’s life.?
For years I'd wanted to start my own thing. It really excited and terrified me. I had some ideas what to do...BUT no one walks away from easy money right.? From the good life.?
But if I'm really honest (and this is easier to see on reflection), it wasn’t really easy. It was sucking the life out of me. I wasn’t being who I wanted to be.?The carefree, happy, focused, free me.
The me that did it my way because, well because I could. And wanted to.?
I kept talking about what I was going to do, the ideas that I was going to action, the life I was going to create...yet I kept taking the easy money.?
Until my son threw a spanner in the works. He asked why I was always grumpy.?OUCH. Not only was it affecting me and my confidence and happiness, but now it was obviously impacting those I loved.?
It was time to be strong. To be the person, to be the man, I wanted to be.?
So I quit. I walked away from the easy life so I could build MY LIFE. So I could discover who I was, who I wanted to be. So I could do it MY WAY.?
I put my ego to the side, got some help, endured some short term pain, took some pretty big risks and finally tapped into my conviction, courage and commitment.??

I won't lie to you. It was hard. Almost everyone thought I was mad.?But it was the best thing (aside from marrying my wife and having two awesome kids), the BEST thing, I’ve done.?
Because...
I found me. I ditched the suits, started wearing t-shirts, shorts and flip flops everyday. I learned to slow down and build what I wanted.?
Now...
We live in a beautiful house by the beach, we travel the world exploring (currently on hold), we have investments in multiple areas, we educate the kids ourselves AND we have more money than we can spend.?
This is MY way.?
Sure, it’s not for everyone. Not everyone wants to be an entrepreneur. Not everyone wants to risk their safety and security. Not everyone wants to challenge the status quo.?And that's quite okay.
But for those that do want that. That do want to have it all (whatever that might look like for you), here's what I have to say to you...?
Quit what you have and build what you want. You don’t need to do it as drastically as me, in fact I advise my clients to start building first.?
But whatever works for you, commit to being you. The you that YOU want to be...?
And watch what happens!

P.S. If you want a hand with that. If you want to discover what you want to do, who you want to be and how to do it, that’s my wheelhouse.??
Send me a DM and let’s chat.?
