Why I Quit.
I quit. Words that rarely come out of my mouth have now been uttered. You see, one of the reasons that those words are rare for me is that I work for myself and the only "boss" I have is my wife and three kids!
So why am I now using those words? The reason is that I have come to the realization that there is a better way of doing business and I need to focus on this new business model.
How did I come to this conclusion? Well, first thing I had to do was to get my ego out of the way. That was not easy! haha However, once I really looked at what I was doing and what this new business model provided, it was an easy choice.
I have been involved with Network Marketing for years now. I have had success and I have had failures, but those are not the reason why I am quitting the profession. The reason is that I have found something better. While I love the business model of Network Marketing, it does have some inherent flaws. I have always loved this business model because it truly does allow people to have the freedom to achieve big things, the personal growth that one goes through is amazing, the products are usually very good and the tax benefits are great. However, the flaws of the business model are just too much for most people to overcome. The issue of having to buy in to the company to get started, having a monthly cost or product purchase to continue to get paid, overpriced products compared to those you can find in traditional stores, and the fact that the people at the bottom are not making money while the people at the top are making a fortune always stood out to me as issues with the profession.
So when I was introduced to a new business model that took away all of those issues, I had to look at what I was doing and make a decision. Was I truly wanting to help people make more money? Was my knowledge that most people that were going to buy into my company not going to make a dime still ok with me? Could I still justify having people buying products that were overpriced because a large network of people had to be paid their commissions?
Obviously the answer was NO. Having seen a model that took away all of these issues made it very easy to say "I quit". Have I quit helping people to make more money? No. Have I quit helping people in personal growth and leadership? No. I have just found a way that helps everyone, not just the people with the skills to make a fortune in network marketing. They are not dealing with buy ins, monthly autoships, overpriced products and because of that, if they decide not to build their business, they are still benefiting from the business model, unlike the companies that they have been a part of before.
So maybe I should not really say I Quit, but that I have found something better and am moving forward!
