Why I Love a Long Weekend To-Do List
On today’s lovely Saturday, I want to talk about something we all look forward to: ?the weekend.? Everybody loves the weekend because it gives us time to recharge, socialize (if you please), and get things done around the house.?
I also am a big lover of weekends and the love comes from what I am able to accomplish during them. This might be a hot take, but I actually appreciate the typical weekend tasks like laundry, grocery shopping, and cleaning. I look forward to having a long to-do list because of the sense of accomplishment it gives me.?
During the week, my to-do list is mainly school-related tasks that take hours to finish, making them a lot more daunting than something like vacuuming my room. Completing a bunch of mindless weekend tasks makes me feel like I’m checking off more boxes and gives me a sense of satisfaction from getting so much done.?
Here’s what I’m working on this weekend:
There are a few smaller tasks thrown in there as well, but those are the main goals for the weekend. Coming out of a weekend with a to-do list that is mostly (or fully) checked off allows me to head into the week feeling prepared. I know this isn’t how everyone recharges from the week, but this is truly how I have found that I can stay sane the other 5 days of the week.
I hope the rest of the weekend treats you well,
?? Taylor
