Almost every week now, I have one talented kid work on a super sweet gig. They submit their work to earn a yummy treat. In doing so, they learn valuable lessons that prepare them for life.
The challenge is to make each gig uniquely different, but with the same intention; teach kids positive values and virtues (and make it super fun and fulfilling).
"My creative inspiration comes from both the kids that work on the gigs; and my life. As I look back, which values do I hold dear today; that I wish someone took the time to teach me (when I was a kid)?
Inspiration Happens All the Time
I woke up today around 2 am, and wrote 'I am famous always.' If kids could look in the mirror, and state that about themselves, what kind of boost and self-confidence would they feel? Kids need to develop their own sense of self-approval ('appreciate yourself') that will bring about fulfillment in their life.
How I inspire kids on our super sweet gigs? Is by always complementing them individually, and making them feel heard and seen. I thank them for their participation. And I celebrate them by writing blogs, and PR Releases; so, years from now they can always remember that being famous started when they were 9 or 10 years old.
How can you make life fun and fulfilling for kids...embody that youthful creativity everyday...
