Why I no longer hate nor fear ChatGPT

Despite knowing a bit many thing concerning programming and artificial intelligence.

But I think I have to admit and confess that I was hurt and became angry at ChatGPT when it popped up.

I really told myself, I am done, this is where I end.

See, I was used to receiving calls from friends and other people requesting a hand on their projects.

Whether it were a website or a mobile app, I was there.

But now they no longer need me.

Just because ChatGPT can create or even debug websites or mobile app 10 times faster than me.

Don’t even speak about designing.

Midjourney can create stunning designs that even way better than me.

I even went so far as to think that, if with all this knowledge I have, yet I have this huge fear over ChatGPT.

How about those who don’t.

That they neither know a bit about artificial intelligence or computer programming languages.

Later I came think that why should I fear that which I don’t know deeply.

With a memory of just being given an introduction of Artificial Intelligence.

So I decided to go for a dig.

To search for everything concerning ChatGPT.

I dug and dug.

What I came to discover left me stricken by awe.

I even think maybe this might be their deep secret.

A secret that they don’t like to admit.

Or want people to know.

So If ChatGPT, or any of its variants e.g. Google’s Bard or Microsoft’s Bing Chat.

Were to be locked on a room alone.

Then another person whom never heard or know nothing about ChatGPT.

Were to be locked on another separate room.

Then a way being made that the person on this room could communicate with ChatGPT on another room.

That they may talk with ought seeing each other face to face

Let’s say maybe through phone call.

Then during their conversation, the person would ask ChatGPT questions.

These aren’t just normal questions that we usually ask each other during small talks.

But rather all questions were documented.

Each question trying to measure a certain aspect of humanity.

When the person is done asking questions.

And ChatGPT has answered each question.

At this point if this person admit that from the conversation He or She had with the stranger (i.e. ChatGPT), He or She is 100% sure He or She were talking to a human.

And at the same time if ChatGPT had passed by answering the questions according to their respective answers written on the questionnaire.

Then ChatGPT is said to pass “The Turing’s Test”

The test give this name is the honor of its inventor, Alan Turing on the year 1950.

Definitely at that time there were neither ChatGPT nor Bard.

But Alan knew for sure that in the future, these things would come.

And Alan also knew that these things are going to be given a higher memory and storage capacity.

Of which these are a bit far greater than humans.

He wondered and thought of a way that would measure humans capabilities compared to that of ChatGPT fairly.

That’s why Alan invented the Turing’s Test.

So this is the part where my fear and hate over ChatGPT ended.

The part that I came scream out loud to you saying “ChatGPT will never take your job nor replace you anyhow”

There are many reasons why I said that.

The first being that “ChatGPT never passed the Turing’s Test”

If it never did, then it will never outwit humans anyhow.

Since it’s only the test that could determine if ChatGPT is enough to take your job.

Although it won’t, but beware of people who use ChatGPT.
