While surfing internet, I found a few definitions, meaning of role model.
1. A role model is someone who inspires others to imitate his or her good behavior.
2.?A role model is?someone others look to as a good example.
3. ?A person who is admired and whose behavior, conduct, attitude, etc. is copied or followed by many.
I started thinking about my role models and a few names pop up. For me; age is not criteria. I can meet or call them when needed. I started jotting down names. I could write ten names quickly. And almost fifty in half an hour then the process slowed down. ?
Some of the reasons I consider them role models are:
1.???I feel comfortable in their company.
2.???Get clarity in my thoughts and direction while discussing.
3.???These people are givers of their wisdom, time and support.
4.???They have lot of positive energy and are always welcoming.
5.???They have achieved success in their areas and are knowledgeable.
6.???They are grounded and content in their life.
7.???They inspire, influence, challenge you to reach your potential.
We may get above while reading book/s, attending lectures, visiting place/s, travelling, meditating, etc. Role models are like a big tree with life around them. You can sit under this tree and get peace of mind. We can have role models for multiple areas of life.
As we start copying them and imbibing their qualities, who knows we may become Role model for someone, someday.
I guide busy professionals through micro-practices to release stress, anxiety, and irritating thoughts and quickly return to a state of peace and calm.?Refer to my profile in the featured section.
