why i heart millennials

America’s future will be shaped by millennials, the largest most diverse generation ever. The older I get the more I realize father time ensures that every generation passes and it’s up to the next generation to sustain our society. Stereotypes of millennials are not serving us, not only are they recycled from previous generations but they prevent us from learning from a generation that grew up in a time of ubiquitous inter connectivity and a black president. As someone who remembers the 80’s and 90’s I see the impact of the millennial as a consumer and wonder why we as “older generations” aren’t doing more to learn from them and build authentic relationships to pass on our "been there did that" knowledge and philosophy.
