Why I have a LinkedIn profile. Why would you?
In life, no matter you mean it professional or not, having clear ideas is necessary if you do not want other people make choices for you. Nowadays we are under siege by many influences and if you cannot discern what you really want and care, you might end confused...
... or worse, in case you also fancy being found by cusutomer and employers, because without a clear poisitioning nobody will notice you (that's from marketing literature).
Unfortunately there is no formula for creating and developing original ideas (there are many interesting and funny videos by John Cleese about this). Nevertheless, if we have motivations , we can do well anyway. Despite our not-so-original ideas, constant practice would refine the quality of our production.
In this search you may also rely on LinkedIn, because it provides good tools and opportunities, and you just need to concentrate on your ideas, skpping the search of perfection (we will never reach it) and trying to be simply original.
LinkedIn gives the chance of confrontation: as in this post, you can read it, like/dislike it, maybe comment it and share it. And comments, for instance, would help me shaping and developing my ideas.
I have a collection of personal notes that I took through the years in seminars, meetings, chats, books, courses of different kind. And I always had the habit to summarize them, just in case I (or anybody else) would need a shortcut about a specific issue, to be used and reused.
This is the content of my posts, where my only effort is to focus on a specific idea, so the reader would get it easily and quickly.
I believe LinkedIn is a good tool to reorganize notes and refine an idea. Then confronting it with the outside wolrd could also be the spring to get other ideas (Post "How can you spark new ideas?" - https://www.dhirubhai.net/pulse/how-can-you-spark-new-idea-davide-prando) and grow your awarness: something helpful, at least to make the choices you really want without confusion, in your profession as well as in life.
