Is it fair to diagnose someone based on what we see on TV and read in the newspaper?
It reminds me of the Barry Goldwater rule by the American Psychiatry Association, which says we shouldn't diagnose from media.
But post-COVID, telemedicine has changed how we practice medicine.
Some diseases have classic symptoms like loss of facial expression and stiffened gait that we can identify even remotely.
So, can we really avoid forming opinions from what we observe on screen?
