Why I don't dread Mondays

Because I work for myself and have done so for over four decades, Mondays have always felt like a day filled with possibility. I don’t dread the day and I also don’t count the days until the weekend. This has been so for my entire life. Is it completely stress-free and perfect? No, of course not, but I would not have it any other way.
I do love to work on weekends, and maybe take Monday off. I can do everything people with 9-5 jobs reserve for Saturday and Sunday, without the crowds. And working on holidays also means I am not interrupted by professional emails or phone calls.
I have never had a problem with self-discipline and getting stuff done (courtesy of an obsessive-compulsive and addictive personality). During the pandemic, I had no problem working out daily at home.
I love working from home and although I have a small office in my bedroom, I prefer to develop creative projects from the couch, sitting at the dining room table, even propped up in bed, and when the weather permits, in the backyard.
I feel super fortunate on both counts (work and working out) because I know most people struggle with motivation. Is that you?

What gets in the way of you accomplishing your goals? Usually, it's some sort of argument in one's head. When I feel that coming, a voice that tells me to procrastinate, I shut it down immediately and get to the task at hand.
It's not easy for everyone, and most people need some external accountability partner to get things done. In that case, get yourself an accountability buddy, preferably someone who models the type of behavior and productivity you're aiming for.
How about you? Do you dread or love Mondays? Do you enjoy working on your own? I'd love to know!
