Why i don’t Chase my Goals.
Today's mind made problem is based upon what happens when you chase and you don't let polarity polarise? I'm not too sure if that’s correct terminology but the idea is you chase, chase and chase again. Chasing your goals, chasing your dream, chasing the next day. All in all, not giving the time or even better not giving the space for it (as its own entity) to work on itself.
One book i was reading recently is The Prosperous Coach by Rich Litivn & Steven?Chandler. In this book Rich Litvin talks about how one of his rules/principles to increase his success and our own is to slow down. Yes, slow down. At first this really challenged meand got me thinking “Why should I slow down when I've got so much to do! So much to achieve! And have so many places I want to see! That doesn't make any sense!” (Okay that’s enough exclamation marks but you get my point.) I should be doing more, I should be researching more and I should be working harder. Right?
The process of attainment requires two things as the lifeline; taking action and not?taking action. Let me go deeper on that. When you have a goal that you want to reach, let's say you want to go to the gym and want to lose 10kg what do you have to do? Go to the gym, workout then come home, drink your protein and lastly rest well. Resting is a part of reaching the goal, it doesn’t take away!
So you slow down, away from your goals, what else occurs? A new perspective.
When you slow down and no longer chase what you want, the idea, the dreams, the vision.?You allow yourself to see things differently because you're no longer in the headspace of action.?

The idea of polarisation was shown to me in the following; ‘There's two sides to one?coin’, ‘Feminine and masculine’, ‘Black and white’. All these different examples showcase the polarising spectrum and when you chase you are moving towards one side of the spectrum. Within for example working towards building your business, passing your exams, what's the other side of that? Reflection & contemplation. You can achieve something by stepping away from it. One acute thing my mentors mention to me consistently is the power in stepping away and letting that action itself have its moment to play in this thing called life. So what if you were to do that? What if you were to work on your goals, yourself, exams or whatever is in your life right now that you want to achieve and in addition you took time today as well to step away from it. To no longer chase, to no longer deeply desire but let it go in the sense of it no longer holding you down, it not being the thoughts running through your mind. Instead of ‘what can I do next’, ‘what should I do here’ or ‘have I forgotten something’.
You're not getting the outcome you want from the hard work and the decisions you're?making every day so what's wrong? ‘Is it me? Can I not achieve this? Is this just not meant to be? What's going on? Is it the goal, is it too big, is it too ambitious?’ You're only gonna see and hear that side if that's the side you're on. This makes me think of a sports team as
there's two sides with one ball or a car there's two sides left and right with one engine or?a human being there's two lungs for one heart. This is played out in every single area of your life and by not extending your arms to balance the tight rope who's to blame. I never say that to think less of yourself but to think more of yourself. You are not one story but multiple stories and with the other side of the story you can use it to continue to help you reach your goal instead of you chasing which is the other side of the story.
So if that's the case. What's going to change today? What actions are you not going?to take or are you going to take?
