Why I Do What I Do

Greetings in The Mighty Name of Jesus, The Christ!!!

“We love him, because he first loved us.”

1 John 4:19

Brothers and Sisters, Why Do You Follow Jesus? Is it out of a Fear of Eternal Damnation? Is it a Social Gathering, where Friends and Family meet? Is it to “Fit” in with a Crowd for Social Status? Is it for the Music? Is it for the Pastor? Is it for Your Children?

All of these reasons may sound great, but if those are your reasons you’ve missed the boat! Your Understanding is void. There has to be more…

It is said in Scripture that Evil will be called Good and Good will be called Evil, so knowing this, Why Would I Do What I Do?

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

Isaiah 5:20

Jesus said that my very children whom I Love and have Cared For will rise up against me and want to put me away, forgotten. So why would I continue to Do What I Do?

“35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36 And a man's foes [shall be] they of his own household.”

Matthew 10:35-36

Yet I continue to press forward…Why? In my case this very thing has happened to me, that the Evil that I fought so hard against raised its head in my house, so why would I continue to Do What I Do?

I have lost Jobs, possessions, other family members, friends, Brothers and Sisters in Jesus… so why would I continue to Do What I Do?

Jesus said that The World Hates Him and The World will Hate me also.

“If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you.”

John 15:18

The World Hates me because of Jesus, so then, Why Would I Do What I Do? If The World does not Hate you, then you need to Examine Your Selves of what Evil lies within!

There is trouble on every side filled with Homosexuals gaining control, Woman rising up over men, Racism across the World, Children being Disobedient, Brothers and Sisters against each other, following False Doctrine made by Men not God and yet I continue to Do What I Do…Why?

Jesus said that there will be Wars, Earthquakes, and Famine and yet I Choose to Do What I Do…Why?

“7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.”

Matthew 24:7-8

I watch across many, many churches and have come to a Great Conclusion… that all Lack the same thing, the thing that keeps me Doing What I Do.

Jesus said that I must Lose My Life in order to Please Him, that I Must Give Up, Surrender in order to Please Him.

“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.”

Matthew 16:25

I can do this…You can do this… but there still an element that is missing that would cause me or you to wage war against the enemy. To Do What We Do, there has to be another factor, another reason, knowing what is to come and what we have already endured, there has to be more…

There must be more of a reason on why I would change my thinking, change my ways, to lose everything that is dear to me, there has to be a Primary Reason.

What would cause me to Open My Mouth and Speak such things that would cause a Rift, Destruction, Isolation… there has to be a Driving Factor to would cause me to Do What I Do… is it Insanity?

Jesus, Our Lord and Savior summed it up in One Verse, that is the Most Powerful Verse for us who Believe…

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

John 14:15

The One Element that Keeps Me Doing What I Do, is Love. The mathematics of this one verse is very simple, if I Love Jesus then I will Keep His Commandments, if I Do Not Love Jesus then I Will Not Keep His Commandments. It is the most measureable verse in the New Testament and is one of most Ignored Verse in The Bible. It is Our Measuring Stick, it is Our Scale and it is Our Fruit To Bear!

Love must accompany Action, it cannot stand alone as just a word or saying, there Must Be Proof Of Love.

The Father Loves His Creation so much, that He sent His Only Begotten Son to die in our place, to take Our Punishment for Sin, so likewise we Must Reciprocate, we Must Have Acceptable Action!!!

This Love is not just to Do Good Works, but must be a Live Emotional Bond between you and Jesus, it must Create A Relationship that cannot be Broken By Sin!

“37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment.”

Matthew 22:37-38

“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment.”

Mark 12:30

“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”

John 14:21

Many, many of you have allowed Your Love to Wax Cold and the things that you do are done because of Habit. You go through the Motions but lack the Zeal!

“This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with [their] lips; but their heart is far from me.”

Matthew 15:8

Too many have Cold Hearts dealing with Jesus and have turned from the Truth to Lies that have bound them in Sin. They have said have we not done this or done that, is it not Proof Enough?

“9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

Matthew 24:9-13

?“21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?”

Matthew 7:21-22

Now, you Must Understand this, too many pick and choose what they Will Do or Will Not Do according to Scriptures, they Dissect The Word to Please their Own Lust Of The Flesh. They Keep only that Word that does not Comprise Who They Are and try to Please God and Man!

Example of such actions, but there are many. Churches that Accept Homosexuals with open arms, where as The Word says they are an Abomination To God and are an Enemy To God! Women rising up taking authority over men, both in the work place and in their homes, withdrawing themselves from The Word, being more Lovers of themselves than God!

The Church needs to Teach, to Demonstrate what Godly Love Is. Many of the Brothers and Sisters would die for their Spouse, Children, Friends and even Strangers and call it Love, but how many would Die For Jesus being In Love With Him?

I can do many, many things for The Name Of Jesus without having any Love Bound To It. I Do What I Do because I LOVE JESUS, it is My Foundation that cannot be broken!

Brothers and Sisters you need to think very carefully why you do what you do. Are you doing things out of Habit, or because it makes you Feel Good to do it, or is it because you do things just because they need to be done? A True Relationship with Jesus has to be Based On Love and who’s Actions are Because Of Love!
