I chose to join Hoxton Wealth due to its innovative approach and global presence.

Professional Achievements and Recognitions

Since my last appearance on the Financial Planner Life podcast, I have increased awareness in the protection sector through my use of social media, earning myself the Dr Marius Barnard Award from Scottish Widows. At my previous firm, I was recognised as the Top Adviser out of 200 advisers, specialising in protection. "Being ranked number one out of 200 protection-only advisers was a testament to the hard work and dedication I put into my role,"

Evolving Perspectives on Mental Health in Life Cover

Mental Health is very important and it is something that has impacted me personally after my father suddenly passed away. My life insurance provider has provided me with a bereavement counsellor and this has helped me tremendously.

"After my dad passed away, I truly grasped the importance of mental health support embedded within life insurance offerings," This personal experience has fuelled my advocacy for comprehensive care in financial products.

Life insurance companies have changed their attitudes towards clients with a history of mental health issues. A friend of mine who had a significant mental health history, including a suicide attempt, yet was able to obtain life cover.

"Insurance providers are becoming more understanding and flexible. A friend of mine, despite his past challenges with mental health, was able to secure life insurance. It was more expensive, but the fact that two providers were willing to offer cover is a sign of positive change.

The Future of Protection and Financial Planning

I am excited to join Hoxton Wealth where I will be a champion for protection inside and outside the company. I am also looking forward to helping other advisers increase their protection knowledge and help their clients if they need me to.
