Why I cried...

Why I cried...

The pic above I me is at the end of the Sales as a Profession Sales Conference.

Seeing everything unfold without any major hitch.

Seeing the faces of the audience

Seeing my wife mouth the words "I'm proud of you."

I cried.

This conference was my first achievement.

Now I know some of you may ask "well what about getting married, having children, owning a home?" Personally, I don't see those things as achievements, I saw them as things that I already knew were going to happen. I knew those things were in my future. But this was different. Over the years I've developed an amazingly positive mindset where if I say something it happens. Hasn't worked for lotto but it will one day. So even with my positive mindset I had some doubts.

Do a conference about something that I'm insanely passionate about?
Doing something I've only see others do?
I honestly had a bit of self doubt.
For a brief moment I didn't think it would be successful.

And bit by bit the doubt slipped away. It wasn't when we got the first sponsor or the first ticket sold but rather when the team was put together. Big goals, goals that scare you, can't be done by yourself. You will always need help in life to achieve your goals! Think about, have you ever seen someone accomplish a goal by themselves? From Superman to John McClane to Frodo they all had help them to achieve their biggest goals. They could not do it by themselves.

To my wife, THANK YOU. Making you proud is an achievement for me. I love you!

Thank you to Lyndon Brathwaite, my business partner at Sales as a Profession. We keep making great strides on this journey and I'm glad that you're one of the main people to join me.

Thank you Tisha C Jack, LaShaun Ramdin and Leisel Douglas a powerful trio that can get anything done!

This Conference taught me that if your goals scare you share it with others. Don't do it alone! Hold yourself accountable to the persons that know your goal. Last but not least,

CRUSH YOUR GOAL!!!

So now I sit down to decide what is my new goal. What scares me?

This was so sweet! I understand. I felt the same way when I hosted my very first "Refresh and Refocus You" event. Then my "Izza Lime...The Genesis" just took the nerves then the feeling of acheivement and real satisfaction to another level!

I kid you not, I teared up a little during the conference myself, watching you in action. You continue to take people with you, and you're such a great inspiration to many, myself included. Great Job Jarrod....Keep smashing those goals!
