Why I chose Skore?

Why I chose Skore?

Firstly I wish all my network a very Happy New Year!

Following a very challenging 2022 which saw me start the year by joining Siemens (Mendix) after being head hunted only to be let go within 5 months, followed by an even shorter 4 months at Laiye heading up the commercial sales team. I had pretty much written off 2022, then something incredible happened: I reached out to my network and was inundated with offers for interviews, within 5 days of being let go by Laiye I already had 5 interviews and another 9 lined up (not bad considering, I hadn't actually applied for a single role). This really showed me the power of a good, well oiled LinkedIn Network.

After the first two roles in 2022 were completely unsuccessful, I needed to ensure that the next company and role was going to be somewhere I could really apply myself. I heard from an old colleague: Chris Green with whom I worked with at my first ever civilian job outside leaving the military (a company called Nimbus)., I had stayed in touch with Chris and been tracking his and Craig Willis’ company, Skore, a Process Improvement Software Platform,? since its inception in 2017.?

Having met with Chris and Craig for lunch (and made the mistake of covering my meal in Carolina Reaper sauce),. It seemed there could be a potential opportunity to work with them both again at Skore. I explained how in 2022 I had chased the money and that now I wanted to join a company where I could genuinely make a difference!?

Having worked with co-founders: Chris (CCO), Craig (CEO) and Colin Claverie (CTO) before, once the offer came to join them at Skore, it would have been remiss of me to pass on this opportunity. Having travelled up and down the country for the best part of 10 years, honing my sales skills, the opportunity to somewhat come home to a local company and a team I’ve successfully worked for before was too much to pass on.

Having now fully onboarded at Skore I’m looking forward to working with the team to deliver value across all areas of the business and of course bring in some mega accounts!

Based on my conversations from an inbound perspective, I can assure you that the future is bright!?

Great read Adam Harbon, glad to have you onboard. Anyone that can keep cool while 'enjoying' that Carolina Reaper sauce is a valuable member of the team ??
