Why I Can't Stop Talking About AI

Is it just me, or does AI seem to pop up in every discussion these days?

Whether I’m speaking at events, recording a podcast, drafting a business plan, or even just contemplating the weather, AI invariably enters the dialogue. Since my presentation on AI+HI (Human Interaction) at the SHRM Conference hosted by Microsoft, I’ve been mulling over intriguing questions like:

• What will we do with all the time AI saves us?
• Who truly owns this newfound free time?
• Will AI spur the emergence of a new breed of SuperThinkers??
• Could it finally help us detach from our constant phone screens?
• How should I be leveraging AI, and what skills should I be honing right now?

(Spoiler: These topics might be featured in some upcoming blog posts.)

Just a year ago, such discussions might have been confined to niche tech gatherings. Now, these questions headline every conference I attend – and I attend many! As someone who speaks and writes about happiness, I’m driven to keep asking: how will the rapid adoption of AI impact humanity?

If there’s one thing that I’ve learned from my colleague Rebecca Kirstein-Reich, co-founder and CEO of Inqli, it’s that questions are the answer. By asking thoughtful questions and being open to new ideas, we gather the best information to shape the future.? So, my hope is that those of you who are reading this newsletter will feel inspired to dig in a little deeper. For some of you, maybe AI is like a foreign language, and you are just trying to make sense of what everyone is talking about…for others, AI has become like the water you gulp down on a hot day, where you just can’t consume enough.? Either way, I think it’s safe to say that we all have so much to learn.
