Why I am joining Cloudflare

I am ecstatic to share that I am joining Cloudflare as a Partner Solutions Architect to help, build and scale Cloudflare’s growing customer and partner base. It is indeed an exciting time to join a company that is not only a leader in cybersecurity but also one that is continuously pushing the boundaries of innovation and growth.

Over the last few weeks, I have been thinking hard about the reasons for my joining Cloudflare and why I feel Cloudflare is the best place not only for my career but also a company that the world needs right now in times of economical and political uncertainty to protect the free and open Internet.

The internet has become an integral part of our daily lives. It has revolutionized the way we communicate, access information, and conduct business. It has also played a vital role in shaping the modern world and has become a cornerstone of the global economy.

A decade back when I went to school and did Masters in computer networking at the University of Colorado Boulder, I understood the importance of the internet not only from a technology standpoint but also from a policy and business perspective and the role it plays in our society. I am happy to join a company that is helping to make the internet faster, more reliable, and more secure for generations to come.

As someone who cares deeply about the internet and its future committed to solving issues such as net neutrality and free speech, which are essential to ensuring that the internet remains a level playing field for all. The internet is a powerful tool for social change and it is important to protect it from those who would seek to exploit or abuse it.

What I loved about Cloudflare is its transparency from day one and it's doing the right things for its customers. The technology is superior to that I have seen ever so far.?Just to get the numbers right:

• Anytime Cloudflare pushes code, it automatically affects millions of Internet properties.
• Every day, thousands of new customers sign up for Cloudflare service.
• It serves 39 million HTTP requests per second on average.
• It serves data from 275 cities in over 100 countries around the world

These numbers are mind-boggling when you consider the fact that each and every service that Cloudflare provides runs in every single node in every single data center. This is Networking and Security on steroids.

Some of my other reasons are :

• The company's unique interview process, which includes meeting with executives and getting a firsthand look at the company's culture, is a testament to this commitment. Every person I spoke with was extremely committed to helping build a better Internet; it wasn’t just a tagline. The true mission and ability to impact so many people globally was something that was super motivational for me.
• Another aspect of Cloudflare that I admire is the company's commitment to its employees and partners. From the start, the founders have prioritized building a positive, supportive culture that fosters collaboration and personal growth.
• In addition to its strong business and growth, Cloudflare is also a company that is deeply committed to making a positive impact in the world. Cloudflare's mission and positive impact to build a better internet is not just a "mission" for the hang on the wall but it has truly taken a stand to standardize its capabilities for every customer to enable an internet that is secure, fast, and reliable for businesses. The projects like Project Galileo, Athenian Project, 1.1.1.1 are some of the ones where it has taken a stand to secure and protect the most important organizations and customers to defend themselves from attacks.
• Cloudflare is well-positioned to tackle the challenge of implementing zero trust model. With its global network of data centers and extensive expertise in security and networking, Cloudflare is able to offer a range of solutions that can help organizations adopt a zero-trust approach. These solutions include its Cloudflare Access and Cloudflare Gateway products, which provide secure and seamless access to internal resources, and its Cloudflare ONE platform, which offers a comprehensive set of security, performance, and reliability services.

I am thrilled to be joining Cloudflare as a Partner Solutions Architect. I believe that being a part of the partner organization is crucial to the company's growth and success. Partnerships play a key role in helping Cloudflare scale and reach new customers around the world. So, being a part of the partner organization is an important step in Cloudflare's journey to becoming the next supercloud and the number one cybersecurity company in the world.
