Why I am building a global community of black talent with Multiple passions.

In 2023, after working across diverse industries and wearing different hats for a decade, I knew it was time to talk about multipotentiality.
I do believe that I am one of the earliest and most consistent black crusaders of the multipotentiality subject, dedicating all my social media pages to this discourse since 2017.
It now has become a passion for me to educate people like myself and to equally coach them on how best to navigate the multipod lifestyle, i mean, I have spent a whole decade moving from one title to the other in different spheres of life.
In 2017, I experienced depression, mainly because most of my peers were going on to become 'experts' and 'specialists' in their various fields yet I was still changing jobs, adjusting my CV and getting hired for an entirely different role from the former.
While my creative identity was within the creative writer, (creative) director, producer, stylist, choreographer and multi-genre singer scope, my professional identity was in media and communications as; editor, business and technical writer, product/project management, business development, public relations and advertising.
Although, I was lucky enough to have earned fairly from these 'hustles'. most of which I was heading departments as a key voice to these establishments, but I let society and her 'specialist' construct blind me from realizing the gift that is me, and the power of exceptionality that I hold.
I became more of an asset to companies lucky enough to hire me, I brought on board a wide and diverse set of experiences that helped build and shape most of the start-up companies i was hired by.
As i took social media more seriously, i sought to position and brand myself like other 'experts' were doing but did not know how.
I was not sure which of my many titles i was willing to show off and conceal as everyone on social media branded themselves within a single title.
This caused me worry for a long time hence the depression.
But in my research to understand how i am, and how i was wired, i came about the word 'multipotentialite' which is a modern term for someone with many interests and creative pursuits. although the idea of someone with many passions is not new as students of history will be more familiar with the terms; polymaths and renaissance people.

This gave healing to my spine and re-ignited the fire in me to embrace my multi-potentiality, this time as a coach helping talents of black origin advocate for the inclusion of their multipotentiality in all spheres and also as a tutor, educating millions on the concept of multipotentiality.
The term 'Multipod' as i use it interchangeably with 'Multipotentialite' would mean the same thing; a person who thrives on many interests, projects and passions, simultaneously, cyclically or one after the other.
While my book project 'BLACK MULTIPOD' is nearly complete, my bi-monthly podcast of the same title on Spotify and everywhere else is already two episodes strong.
The goal is to build a global community of black talents with multiple passions, providing them with timely resources to navigate the multipod lifestyle.
This community already exists as a 'community' on the X app, a broadcast channel on Instagram and as subscribers to our newsletter here on LinkedIn. all with the same title 'black multipod'
On why i choose to focus on my black audience;
Black society has its unique cultural influences and expectations, and as a black man, it's easier to talk to people who share a similar cultural history or identity as myself, people who can relate to my story as an African who grew up in Africa.
While members of other racial identities can and will benefit from my teachings, they may not relate to certain illustrations which i fear may disperse relativity.
I have been on this research for six years now and can unequivocally say that i am the leading expert on multipod identity, diversity and inclusion.
A bomb waiting to happen to your next career seminars and workshop as a special guest, panelist or keynote speaker.

My favourite phrase to explain who I am when met with critics and one talent people is "to one he gave one talent, to another two and another five" each according to his own ability... I am one of the ones he gave 5! and I am thriving in the fullness of the person I was made to be! Accepting this is the beginning of your liberation and helps you to channel and structure better
